Refund Policy

If a consultation request is accepted but, after successful payment, the consultation is cancelled or rejected due to unforeseen or exceptional circumstances (including non-availability of the assigned lawyer or technical issues), the user will be provided with one of the following options:

  • to reschedule or book an alternative consultation; or

  • to receive a refund of the amount paid to Lawyaar, upon request.

Where a refund is approved, the refunded amount will be credited to the original payment method used by the user within 10–15 working days from the date of confirmation of refund approval.

Overcharge or Payment Errors:

In the event of:

  • duplicate payment, or

  • accidental over-charging,

the user should notify Lawyaar at the earliest with the relevant Transaction ID. Upon verification, the excess amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 10–15 working days.

If an under-charge occurs due to technical or processing errors, Lawyaar reserves the right to recover the differential amount and will notify the user accordingly.

Processing Charges:

Where applicable, refunds may be subject to a processing fee of up to 10%, representing non-recoverable payment gateway and transaction processing costs.
No processing fee will be deducted where the cancellation or failure is solely attributable to Lawyaar or the service provider.

Scope of Refunds:

  • Refunds are limited to amounts paid to Lawyaar through the platform.

  • Lawyaar is not responsible for any payments made directly by users to lawyers or professionals outside the platform.

  • The maximum refund amount shall not exceed the amount actually paid to Lawyaar for the relevant service.

Exceptional Circumstances:

In rare or exceptional cases not expressly covered above, Lawyaar may, at its discretion, review the matter and attempt to arrive at a fair and reasonable resolution, without creating any obligation or precedent.
